Admissions Criteria and Process

An individual may be admitted to Matthew’s Center’s Camp Adventure program by meeting the admission criteria:

1. Matthew’s Center’s Camp Adventure currently accepts applications for admission for individuals 5-21 years of age.

2. The individual has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or related disability and co-occurring mental health or intellectual disability diagnoses

The admission decision is base on completion of all admission criteria and determination by Matthew’s Center‘s team in collaboration with the family and the referring source that the program is appropriate for the individual. The admission process consists of a phone interview with the parent/legal guardian of the referred individual. It the individual meets the admission criteria; an observation at Matthew’s Center is completed. Admissions applications are reviewed and an admissions decision is made within 10 days of receipt of the completed application packet.

Admission Process
  1.  Fill out and submit Camp Adventure Registration Form
  2.  Phone screen with Matthew's Center Representative
  3.  Preliminary assessment / observation, Parent tour of Matthew’s Center
  4.  Observation at student's school with Teacher Interview

If accepted, an acceptance letter along with enrollment forms will be sent to parent. For parents qualifying for financial assistance, scholarship applications will be made available but does not guarantee funding.
